Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches, White

We were attracted to this fan because of his "cool" factor, and it works as promised. But his commanding price, it could use some improvements, such as:

The silver coating on the 12 "model looks like cheap plastic. We we exchanged the 10" model in glossy white, and presented a much more refined look.
We bought the Dyson to replace a standard desktop fan in a mini-theater room to reduce noise. Unfortunately, Dyson, due to its rapid internal turbo engine significantly higher than the fan it was replacing. We kept it anyway, but for another program.
For the money that would have a simple remote control has been a welcome addition.
The variable speed is a nice touch, but its scope appears to be limited to "medium" on its lowest setting, reducing its usefulness for close-ups of smooth (and quiet) cooling (in our example, share a computer table).

That said, it is to move much air, looks good and it's a no-brainer for anyone with small children.

I recently bought this at Costco for $ 188 th Yep, if you want to save some money, this is where you can get a "cheaper" one. I used it for a few weeks and returned it. We have a 2 1 / 2 year old daughter, I thought it would be nice to have for her.

The fan works as advertised, and it's actually pretty cool. But after a few days, bears it slow and you start noticing some of the questions. First off, the fan is a little higher than you think technology. The airflow is pretty good, and I found it to be closer to 80-10 "range versus 3-series all the reviewers who did not actually buy one of these requirements. I like the fact that you really can make the exact amount of air this thing to shoot Unlike other where you would normally only have 2-3 options. And the oscillating functions work as one might expect.

Some issues I had with it. First and foremost is that you really can not adjust the angle of the wind is strong. That pretty much shoots straight out and it is so you have to hold up against something to add any great angle on it. The main issue I had was that it was not very stable. I wish this thing had a bigger / wider stand as our daughter easily hit it over several times. So what is the point of child safety knife-less mode on the fan can easily be overthrown.

In the end, we do not think $ 200 value was worth it. You pay a lot for the name, and I guess the cool patent on this thing. But we decided that in the end there is nothing that even compares to Vornado fans who do not have good protection child safety.
